Boca Moon is Everywhere!
Barnes & Noble, Borders, Books-A-Million, Amazon.com, all independent bookstores. You can buy my book anywhere now. May not be in stock, but they can get it for you, and sales are soaring like an osprey over the back bays at Boca Grande. By the way, copies of Boca Moon make great presents. A stack about a foot or so high and your birthday or Christmas shopping is done. Something to think about.
Appearances
- September 18th I signed books and spoke after dinner to about 100 members at Wildcat Cliffs Country Club in Highlands, NC
- October 25th I signed and spoke to about 100 folks at an event in New York hosted by my dear friends, Fred and Susan Kneip
- November 13th I signed and spoke at a lovely event in Tampa hosted by my dear friends, David and Liz Kennedy
- November 15th I appeared at the Historic Polk Theatre in Lakeland, Florida. The event was "Mystery Night at the Polk" and I was on stage with moderator Dr. Rob Tate of Florida Southern College and J. T. Ellison, whose book, All the Pretty Girls came out November 1st
- December 6th I appeared at Davis-Kidd Booksellers in Memphis, an event organized by my dear friends, Philip and Mary Vaiden, spoke to 130 people, and signed the many books which were sold.
- December 8th I signed and spoke at that great San Antonio mystery bookstore, Remember the Alibi, an event which drew 80 Texans.
- January 23rd about 180 people turned out for a Tallahassee event hosted by friends where tons of books were sold and signed.
- February 21st I spoke to about 150 at a signing held at the Country Club of Orlando and hosted by friends where almost all attendees bought Boca Moon.
- In April I will be the dinner speaker at Florida Southern College's Scholarship Night where about 200 are expected.
- Also in April I've been asked to speak about Boca Moon in Boca Grande! It will be to about 50 people attending a board retreat.
Recap of Early Appearances
My early signing events were fabulous, starting with Cyrano's in Highlands July 6th of 2007 when I saw my first books. We were mobbed and the 250 books they ordered only lasted for three days after the event. The experiences were similar at the Polk Museum of Art in my hometown of Lakeland, Florida and at the fantastic new library in Columbus, Georgia, the latter thanks to my dear friends, Sam and Dusty Wellborn. These events included lots of great newspaper coverage and appearances on television and radio.

I recently got to know the Pulitzer winning author of Angela's Ashes. What a delightful man. Check out my photo gallery and see Frank and me standing at the bar together enjoying a "pint."

Reviews
Review copies of Boca Moon have finally been out long enough to start getting some reviews. A couple have come in and you can read them here. I have lots of wonderful reader reviews on Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com, but would like more. I'd be mighty grateful if you would enter one (but only if you liked the book, right?). Only takes a sentence or two. B & N is where I need to play catch up. Many thanks.
Where the Heck is the Next Book?
I'm almost finished with the second book in the "Boca" series. The working title is Boca Press and it's about two competing weekly island newspapers on Boca Grande and how they handle a couple of raging controversies. Some really bad stuff happens and guess who lands in the middle of it. That's right, Lynn Woo. Hopefully, it will be out later this year or the first of next, but that's up to my publisher, as is the final title.
